New Mexico Territory 1880's (2 of 2) by daggerwilldo ()
Today I offer you another of my really enjoyable projects with 'iborg64.' He came up with this fabulous background Southwest Landscape. He used the quixel mixer to create the textures seen here and then rendered the scene in VUE . I then developed the character (constructed in DAZ / iray). After that, I took iborg64 landscape and my character and combined them in Photoshop.
Well, living in the badlands of New Mexico, what is a hombre to do but pay homage to his great, great, and maybe great again Grand Daddy. Yep, old 'Dagger-roo' was by all accounts a real hell raiser. In this scene someone or something has disrupted the cowboys morning coffee. If his finger is on the trigger, he's already decided what he's going to do. It always pays to make a lot of noise when you approach a lone cowboy in a lonesome place.

Another really nice image, Dag... just a thought... you might want to check out Chris Achilleos (Think I've spelled Correctly) for his Western gun fighter images.... he did a series of book covers that might give you some ideas. I'm just googling but can't see the specific ones I have in the book of images I have, but the posing and formation of his images might be an inspiration :)

Fantastic work, and I sure hope he didn't put his finger on the trigger until he could clearly see what he was going to shoot. Safety first!

Wonderful image...his morning coffee was disrupted ? A good reason to shoot someone !!! I'd do the same (if I had a gun !!!) You make me dream...the NM badlands...I feel like hiking in the Bisti Badlands as I did several time (too) long ago.

Awesome western style render! This time period was marked by great lawlessness! It took great courage and bravery to survive! I like the work you put into this scene! Looks like he may have a twitchy finger on that trigger! Excellent and we'll done! :-)
