Description
Bryce - Spiralizer - All my own Textures - all 3D - no Post
Reflections - Refractions - Iridescence
The second version - ah - it's all in the Water!
I usually don't say this, but these are more fun if you get to look at the full size details. There's really nothing in particular to see - just the Happenings.
Even with the Shamans, I just keep moving things around, changing the textures, and changing all the Lighting , until Bryce makes something Happen - and I get an "Ah" - an "Oh yeah" - a "That's it" - or an "Oh, wow" of total surprise!
Before I discovered 3D art on the computer, I was primarily a watercolorist. Watercolor has that same adventure. You let the water and pigment flow - and things just Happen - even in a painting with realistic images. Things Happen - that you could never have created yourself if your life depended on it.
Bryce and watercolor - it's all in the water. I'm just along for the ride. :-)

This is beautiful; reminiscent of some of the coloured optical glass sculptures of Tim Rawlinson

I looked him up on Google, and found his work at London Glassblowing. He spoke of his work as “static movement” - I relate to that. 🙂

Darn cool glass floating on the water. Terrific colors and design.

I like how it appears the glass has captured a rainbow as it floats on the water. Very well done!

Your shaman series shows very vivid, arresting hues and shapes and powerful creatures, trees, symbols, etc...I'd not have guessed you were an avid watercolorist from that series...but: On the other hand, the spiritual flow of your shaman series fits right into the watercolor world...and your words to too; so I'm not surprised to hear you had such passion for the flow, energies and mysterious will of watercolors. These two pieces, though in 3D, show a real feel for how hues speak to each other, intertwine with each other, and how the shapes intermingle and commune. Beautiful colors, gorgeous reds and neon green/yellows, beautiful salmon orange-reds (not easy to name colors!), and a feeling of a living morphing sphere floating on a vast ocean, with its reflection having a vivid life of its own. And the band of light in the sky, with those beautiful pink clouds, are a beautiful upper layer. Beautiful and radiant work.
