Here we have a new addition to the Band of Scattered Light, Alexandra!
Base model is Anagord's Adalia from the "Versus Models 2 G8F"
I couldn't find a skin texture for these models, so after looking at those luscious lips for a bit, I decided to go for something more middle-eastern. As luck would have it, Zoro_D, famous for Chameleon Rose, released "Kitten" for free over on Renderotica, and she came with three or four different skin tones, one of them Indian. Which is perfect for Adalia, I think.
The eyes were a gift from Nightwind (THANK YOU!) and complete the model.
Now, honestly, I was just tooling around at this point. I wasn't quite aware that I was making another Sky Pirate. I happened to click on the wings, which I hadn't ever loaded yet (sadly) and things started falling into place. She's wearing the Ninian Outfit from the Daz store, and it armed with a pair of Old West army revolvers. I was going to go with blunderbuss, but decided that it made sense for an aerial fighter to have revolvers, much in the same way as my Aeropilot, Rachel. These look to be cap-an-ball revolvers, so the tech isn't too far advanced from the other black powder guns.
I mean, my game also has Tesla-coil guns, so...
Anywho, I got her posed up, but wanted something more than just the HDRI background. Then I remembered I had Mars. What a cool gift from Daz over the holidays, huh? I'm going to have to see if they also have the Moon, because I'd like to slightly redo my Millenia fan art... (In Grandia 2, there are two moons. One red.)
All that was left was to add in a single spotlight, and this one renders in less than ten minutes. Which was good, because I had the infamous hair-cap pokethrough, as well the the outfit poking through in the render (But not the preview. Grr.) Adjusting some sliders accounted for the wardrobe issue, and rendering it twice, once without hair, let me take care of that skullcap issue without having to rely on the healing tool. Just erase the top with-hair layer in those spots to the without hair, and thankful the hair wasn't shadowing the forehead so it turned out just perfect.
I think that puts me up to 11 named members of the Band. I've got a session today, and my players will be starting to meet the crew. Should be RP-Heavy. Beautifully, my players actually requested RP-heavy sessions without combat, so this should be awesome. From here, things will be able to split a little more, making session management a little easier. Right now the headache is finding a day for everyone to be on at the same time across three time zones. Once they've officially joined the revolution, it can be handled looser, with players able to show up as they are able, and even allow for impromptu between-session, sessions. We already do a lot over text, kinda keeping the story going between sessions in a way that makes me happy. It's just been fantastic, truly. AND, I have two new players!
Which is a big long way to say that I've been doing my best to keep putting one foot in front of the other, despite the depression/anxiety issues. I kinda imagined things would be a bit different right now, but... well, that's life. Right? Thanks for the support!
Tomorrow I will be going through and hit the like button a lot, and leaving comments. I *think* I'm doing okay at managing my time...
Speaking of. Time for my walk! TTFN!
P.S. 11... that number is going to bug me... expect at least a 12th pirate to show up soon, lol.

Cool character! This is awesome work. (And I think you're right about giving her revolvers.)

Very lovely creation. I admire how much work you put into your characters. It was very interesting what you described about how the RPG works. I am also glad to hear that you are working through the issues that cause you the most pain and anguish. I wish you all the best getting to a point where most of this is in the rearview mirror.

You got a great result with her, good sir. It can be quite the challenge getting everything to look right.. I frequently do 2 or 3 separate renders, then combine - or composite - them in Photoshop to paint out pokes, especially with extreme poses or figures.
Yeah, you have to just keep on keepin' on... Day by day... I've had some depression issues of late as well. It's hard not to with all the crap going on.. I don't even recognize this Country anymore...
Thank you. I'm managing, even if it's just by the skin of my teeth some days. Truthfully, one of the biggest things is to find the forward path. Sometimes it feels as if there isn't one. Usually, once I can find that, I can see what the options are.
The people of this country will endure. I have faith in that. What going on in DC is long overdue. I have some faith, though, that things will improve. It's unfortunate that we continue to be stuck with so-called leaders that do nothing but further their own goals, rather than those of the people. Its unfortunate, too, that things will likely get worse before they get better. But then, it is always darkest before the dawn. The best I can figure is to take care of the ones we love, and keep the faith in the people.
