Superb seamless integration of all the elements, and the machine is a heath-robinson delight! (if heath-robinsion had atomic powerpacks, hi tensile alloys and carbon composites to work with that is) :)

Yeah i did.....part of a tutorial ( Transport ) there are two other renders in my gallery....that was the first time i had a go....!! everything else is mine... but i don't or can't stick with them.... so have to go back and see what i didn't do..little impatient i think.....like to keep moving forward....

Thats one awesome looking craft ,with outstanding attention to the details and truly fantastic textures ,set in an equally amazing environment the whole scene looks very realistic. Your lighting is spot on makes the whole thing very believable almost like you had stood there with your camera and took the picture.

i remember you did at least one or two other images w. this model, so now i'm pulling up the other one in your gallery...
right - you were fussing over your shadow strength which i think looks just fine in all three, btw; but i'm curious if you ever resolved things to -your- satisfaction? since i'm not in your head, nor have i seen such a transport IRL, i can honestly say everything, including shadows, looks spot on to my eyes except for maybe that teeny bit of bright specularity in the "wheel well"... i know you strive for perfection and knowledge even in 'your own amusement', but dang!! give a guy at least a teensy bit of breathing room, yea? ;)
ps- you're doing super well in case you're not able to recognise that for yourself :))
Thank you...!! and many thanks for taken the time your comments are as always greatly appreciated....yeah i did resolve it...shadows where down to an very slightly incorrect...ground plane/ shadow catcher...and displacement...fixed it for this image...as for the specularity in the "wheel well"....not sure...that will be corrected when i do my final render...with a new set of textures...like to keep moving forward....
